CrowdStrike IT outage affected 8.5 million Windows devices, Microsoft says

 

Microsoft  estimates that 8.5 million computers worldwide are disabled by  IT worldwide.  This is the first time that news has been given about this program that continues to cause problems all over the world.  The attack came from a cyber security company called CrowdStrike, which sent out a known malware to many of its clients.  Microsoft, which helps customers recover, said in a blog post: "We currently estimate that the CrowdStrike update has affected 8.5 million Windows devices."
David Weston, the company's vice president of business and operating systems, said in the post that this number is less than 1% of all Windows machines worldwide, but  "the impact is much larger on the economy and society." proven to be used by many CrowdStrike companies. . which provides essential services."

The massive breach also prompted warnings from cyber security experts and companies around the world about the possibility of attempted IT hacks. The
internet service in the UK and Australia is warning people to beware of fake emails, calls and websites pretending to be official.

"We know that adversaries and criminals will try to take advantage of such events," he said in a blog post.
